Abstract

Agriculture is the main occupation and important source of national income in India. In India, every year almost 18% of the crop yield is lost due to various pest attacks like fungus, virus and bacteria which causes infection to plants and affects on quality and quantity of production. To understand the increase in harmful insects and various pest attacks on crops, farmers mainly depends on visual judgment which is less accurate. As the agriculture is backbone of Indian economy taking utmost care of food production is necessary. Hence it is important to provide advance solutions to farmers for accurate analysis of defects and insects on plants. In this paper we have done comparative analysis of various papers which are based on plant disease detection techniques. So we are trying to analyze those papers to suggest various techniques for plant disease detection and issues related to it.
