Abstract |

An experimental work is done with the help of a pin on disc apparatus to determine the wear rate of a piston material. The amount of wear depends upon the number of system factors such as the applied load, machine characteristics, sliding speed, sliding distance, the environment, and the material properties also it will depend upon the type and amount of lubrication, from which results obtained and a study was done which determines the effect of aging of lubricant on wear rate of piston material. Different samples of lubricants are used in this work. |
