In the present days these manufacturing operations are done by using computers, which reduce the manufacturing time and side by side improves the product quality. CNC lathe replaces the traditional lathe due to its better performance characteristics. CNC boring machining process can enlarge the hole with better surface finish in any type of material and at any required dimensions. The correct selection of cutting conditions is an important aspect for any machining process to achieve the higher performance. In CNC machining processes the performance is measured mainly in terms of metal removal rate and surface quality. The present experimental work deals with the effect of various cutting parameters of boring operation on mild steel work piece. The complete work is done on a CNC lathe model TL 250 installed at Puran Singh and Sons CNC works, Ludhiana, Punjab. |
