Satellite image processing are used in many set of fields of research and in applications sector also. The fields like astronomy, geographical information systems & geosciences studies. A new satellite image resolution & brightness enhancement technique is based on the Discrete Wavelet Transform & Singular Value Decomposition. All satellite image-processing operations can be grouped into three categories: Image Rectification and Restoration, Enhancement and Information Extraction. The enhancement procedures are applied to image data in order to effectively display the data for subsequent visual interpretation. Satellite images processing are used for feature extraction among other functions. It is used to extract linear features, like roads, etc. The extraction of linear features or boundaries defining the extents of lands, land covers features are equally important. Considers digital image processing software and geographic information system in terms of compatibility with image-data modeling process. |
