Mobile banking is a service provided by a bank or other financial institution that allows its customers to conduct financial transactions remotely using a mobile device. In this paper a Location authentication based browser is developed for secured mobile banking named Geo Mob. In addition to the existing two factor authentication scheme using user ID, password and OTP, the mobile number and geo location is used to authenticate the user. While performing mobile transaction, the multifactor authentication ensures the security. For obtaining the location of a user the Geo Mob makes use of IP address of the mobile device. Which contains information regarding country, region, city, latitude, longitude, zip code and time zone and is capable of supporting IPv4 and IPv6 address formats. The proposed browser give high security for mobile banking. |
