Abstract

A milling machine is a most important machine tool that removes metal as the work. A milling machine finds wide application in production work. This machine tool gives good surface finish to the work piece. In order to investigate the tool geometry of end milling process. And in work piece material used by medium carbon steel, the geometry of such Rake angle, clearance angle and cutting edge angle are compared with Normal and Modified Carbide tool in End Milling process. Numerical factors, namely, spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut. Mathematical model is developed for the surface finish and (material removal rate) MRR based on ANNOVA method. Now, An experimentally investigate compared by Tool geometry and parameters such like surface finish and material removal rate (MRR) in used by Normal Carbide tool and modified Carbide tool of end milling process. Results show that tool geometry and machining operation can be achieved during vertical milling centre (VMC).
