High data rate wireless communications in various compatible applications are possible because of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) which have two criterions required for the high speed wireless communications i.e. high data rate and mobility. Unlike traditional communication techniques orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) acts as both modulator as well as multiplexer and from past one decade Multiple – Input Multiple – Output (MIMO) wireless communication systems has gained tremendous importance which has ability to boost the data rate and channel capacity. Companding Transform and Filtering (ICTF) technique is proposed for reducing the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signal. By means of a specially designed iterative procedure, ICTF is used to obtain both an improved Bit Error Rate (BER) and minimized Out-of-Band Interference (OBI) while reducing the PAPR significantly. |
