Cloud Storage, CMS and Remote URL |
Abstract |
Cloud storage is a model of data storage in which the digital data is stored in logical pools, the physical storage spans multiple servers (and often locations), and the physical environment is typically owned and managed by a hosting company. These cloud storage providers are responsible for keeping the data available and accessible, and the physical environment protected and running. People and organizations buy or lease storage capacity from the providers to store user, organization, or application data. The Most annoying thing if you are a publisher of a blog or a website or simply want to share a file from the internet you first have to download the file to your hard-drive and then upload to the file hosting company like Google, Dropbox, etc. This thing takes up too much time plus if you are on limited bandwidth plan and also causes excessive data usage. CMS and Remote URL transfers the files directly from the internet to the file host. Google don't have any issue with you in activity and they give you maximum space. But they don't support direct file upload or URL upload .The registered user just simply has to put the URL of the file he wants to upload in the CMS and Remote Url and then click on Upload to Google Drive. |
