Abstract |
|
In the present day construction industry in developing countries, concrete has emerged as the most common building material. The present study involves the replacement of the fine aggregate by using the glass powder in the concrete. In this process the natural sand were partially replaced by glass powder. The glass powder [15%,17%,19%,21%] was replaced as an fine aggregate to find the compressive and tensile strength. The concrete mix which was made for this concrete was M25 grade of concrete. The specimens were casted for both conventional concrete and concrete containing glass powder as partial replacement of fine aggregates. The cubes and cylinders were casted.. The cubes were casted and the process of curing was done for 28 days. And the specimens were tested to find the compressive strength of the concrete cube. The cylinders were casted and the process of curing was done for 28 days. And the specimens were tested to find the tensile strength of the concrete. Then the values of the both conventional concrete and glass powder concrete results were compared with each other. |
