Abstract |
|
In the present day, air pollution has been a major issue in metro cities. A need for proper technological move on weight optimization of automotive vehicle with greater sustainability of material strength and rigidity is a must to do least in reduction of air pollution. One of the vital component of suspension system is Multi-leaf spring. Various automotive industries have placed focused onto replacement a material of leaf spring. The core aim of this manuscript is to give a general study on FEA (Finite Element Analysis) analysis of mono leaf spring with reduction in unspur weight by optimization in geometry. This text carries out study of leaf spring on two different spring grade materials (IS-55Si7 and IS-50CrV4). In this study typical mono leaf spring of light motor commercial vehicle is used. Autodesk® Inventor 2018™ is used for modeling of springs and the analysis is carried out on Autodesk® Nastran-InCAD 2018™. |
