As we see there is lots of earthquakes occur on our earth. These earthquakes crash lots of buildings and property which make the difficulty in living life with earthquakes but we cannot control it that is why we need some technique to prevent our structures from the earthquakes. Pro. zayas invent a base isolator for the reason explained above , we called this base isolator as single friction pendulum because it has a single set of plates to slide each other and detach the structure from the rigid base. After that some researchers make double and triple friction pendulum to isolate our structure. This paper give the information of analysis of an RCC structure which is isolated from its base by triple friction pendulum bearing. Paper also give the comparative study between a fixed base structure and isolated base structure with some important parameters live - base shear, storey drift, transformation of energy etc. |
