Abstract

As today's passenger vehicles are implemented with 3 rotor braking system (i.e. inboard braking) in order to increase the overall braking performance of the vehicle. The basic motive of this project is to design an inboard braking for an All-Terrain Vehicle. This concept could be used to provide direct locking to the gearbox output shaft. This concept has various advantages and several disadvantages which are to be considered during the design of this braking system. Also the mounting positions of the braking components and various vehicles using such types of braking system practically are showcased in this report.
