Abstract |

The transport sector is an important component of the economy impacting on development and welfare of the population. When transport system are efficient, they provide economic and social opportunities and benefits that results in positive multipliers effects such as better accessibility to markets, employment and additional investments. The transportation network in India is chocking as a result of high population density. Kanyakumari district is one of the smallest district in Tamil Nadu. Even though it is the smallest in terms of area, the density of population is the highest in Tamil Nadu next to Chennai. The district having headquarters at Nagercoil. The district has serious traffic issues leads to accidents and other problem. Our project is to study the important intersection in Nagercoil and to suggest suitable measure for the improvement of the situation. |
