Abstract |
|
The Project Report deals with the replacement of coarse aggregate by coconut shell and plastic aggregates in Concrete. The various Tests like Cement test, Aggregate test are performed to predict the properties of materials used in concrete and also various tests to be done to find properties of fresh and Hardened concrete. The compressive, spilt tensile and Flexural strength of special Concrete is compared with Conventional Concrete. The strength test results are determined at an age of 7, 14, and 28 day. The usage of coconut shell and plastic aggregate as partial replacement for conventional aggregate should be encouraged sustainable and ecofriendly construction .concrete using coconut use and plastic aggregate result an acceptable strength required for structural concrete. In addition there is a trend to produce light weight by using foaming agent and economically portable material in building construction field. Usage of natural material has the double advantage of reduction in the cost of construction material and also as a means of disposal waste. |
