Abstract

The project entitled "Automatic Sun Rays Detection for Solar Panel" is used to track the position of the sun and convert solar energy into an electrical energy. In Order to maximize the solar energy, the solar panel have to be rotated according to the position of the sun. The tracking of sun's location can be achieved by using the Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor. In this project, the system periodically checks the availability of solar energy from one horizon to another horizon. The adjustment of the solar panel can be done by the stepper motor which has been attached with the solar panel. This project comprises of Solar Panel, Arduino Uno R3, PIR Sensor, Stepper motor. This project will give 40% more energy than normal solar panel without using tracking system.
