Abstract |

Code reuse is common in industrial software systems and is one of the main reasons for code clones. In the initial stage of the software development, developers find it easy to copy and paste the code fragments. Also, the presence of clones does not affect the normal functioning of the system but makes the software maintenance prohibitively expensive. Various clone detection techniques and tools have been proposed over last few years. This paper presents the survey of clone detection process, its types and different techniques developed so far in brief. |
