Abstract |

Concrete plays a significant role in the construction of buildings and other structures such as highways, power projects, industrial structures etc. However, environmental concerns both in terms of damage caused by the extraction of raw material and CO2 emission during cement manufacture have brought pressures to reduce cement consumption by the use of supplementary materials called pozzolanas. The present study is done to study the effect of partial replacement of cement with metakaolin and fly ash with additives as polypropylene fibres and superplasticizers on compressive strength of concrete. |
