This paper describes the smart irrigation system using concept of IoT. This system is used to keep the farmer updated about the status of soil moisture. The system uses a GSM Module, Arduino board which consists of ATmega328P Microcontroller, soil moisture sensor. The task of automatic irrigation is done by soil moisture sensor. Arduino is used to control all the operations of the system. GSM makes the system wireless. Information from soil moisture sensors is regularly updated on application using GSM Module. According to this information user will turn ON or OFF the motor pump. The major advantage of this project includes avoidance from water wastage, growth of plant to their maximum potential. |
