Abstract

Resources are not only shared by multiple users, but are also dynamically re-allocated among containers on demand. Therefore, effective job scheduling, load balancing and resource allocation become critical to ensure the scalability and high availability of a virtualization computing environment. Experiments on a low-cost and resource constrained platform showed that our framework provides superior performance than existing container deployment policies. We present the approaches to build containerized test environment and validates the effectiveness of the resource allocation policies by running sample use cases. Therefore, effective job scheduling, load balancing and resource allocation become critical to ensure the scalability and high availability of a virtualization computing environment.
