The objective of the project work is to observe the performance of copper vapor laser (CVL) in different operating conditions. In this project four different lengths of RG – 220 coaxial cables is used to simulate the CVL performance. Also comparison of all four lenths is presented in this paper. The length of coaxial cable plays an important role in the performance of copper vapor laser as if the length of coaxial cable increases the more attenuation can take place even when load impedance and characteristic impedance of the cable is matched. The simulations were carried out for different lengths of the coaxial cable i.e. 2meter, 3meter, 4meter and 5meter. The simulation results are presented here to obtain the best suitable condition to operate the copper vapor laser. |
