Abstract

Removing Salt & Pepper noise and Gaussian noise in digital images is one of the major challenges in image processing. For noise removal we are using different types of filters such as Mean, Median and proposed filter. It also highlights the comparable results between Mean, Median and proposed modified filter. The performance of the proposed method is analysed by using various parameters such as Mean Square Error (MSE), Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Structural Similarity (SSIM). Simulation result shows that the proposed method performs well as compared to other filters.
