Today joining of alloys has been facing many problems in our most popular sectors like aerospace, automotive, marine and electronics etc. Friction stir welding (FSW) is rock state of tie-up processes which weld the material in solid-state with uses of a non-consumable tool, without melting the work piece material. The welding carried out heat generated due to friction between rotating tool and the work piece material, which leads to a softened zone near the FSW tool. In present investigation welding of Al-6063 has been carried out by varying of input parameters (Weld Speed, Tool rotational Speed, Tool shape) to justify the weld strength. |
