At present days, buildings are made very tall, slender and asymmetrical, with special architectural and aesthetic requirements. Due to development of new building materials and construction techniques, these buildings are becoming much lighter and more slender than earlier. For design of tall buildings both wind as well as earthquake loads need to be considered. In a vertically irregular structure, failure of structure starts at a point of weakness. This weakness arises due to discontinuity in mass, stiffness and geometry of structure. For present study STAAD.PRO V8i software is used for modeling and analysis of structural members. In this study regular and irregular (G+30) reinforced concrete structure has been considered, which lies in zone III and zone V, according to IS 1893 :2016 classification of seismic zones in India. wind load with respect to IS 875-2015 along with self- weight of the structure are considered for analysis of the structure. Two buildings are considered one is regular and rest is of geometric irregular structure. To study the effect of lateral force on regular and irregular buildings using lateral load, for different wind speeds and different earthquake zones are consider comparing the results of structures. To compare the results of maximum displacement, story drifts and base shear for different models. |
