Abstract

Fluctuating electrodynamics is the key to solving near-field radiation heat transfer problems, since it allows the calculation of thermal emission from Maxwell equations that can otherwise describe the absorption, diffusion, and the propagation of electromagnetic waves. Heat radiation at the nanoscale is a field of research that has attracted a lot of attention in the last decade. The work we have done focuses on the heat flux obtained between two bodies parallel to the nanoscale. We have studied the maximum flux under ideal conditions and the actual flux as a function of the distance between the two bodies in thermal change.
