Abstract

The Blue Brain Project is the first to reverse-engineer the mammalian brain, in order to understand brain function and dysfunction through detailed simulations. Blue brain is the so called world's first virtual brain. That means a system that can function as human brain. Computer simulations in neuroscience promise the dramatically enhancement of the scientific method by providing a means to test hypotheses using predictive models of complex biological processes where experiments are not feasible. The starting first phase of the Blue Brain Project therefore started after 15 years of systematically dissecting the micro-anatomical, genetic and electrically used properties. Scientists are researching to invent an artificially active brain that can think, respond, take decision, and keep anything in memory. Their aim is to upload human brain into machine. After the death, the virtual brain will act as the man. So, even after the death of a person we will not lose the knowledge, intelligence, personalities, feelings and memories of that man that can be used for the development of the human society. The IBM is now developing a virtual brain known as the Blue brain. It is considered to be the world's first virtual brain. The most needed is the use of very small robots, or nanobots.
