Abstract |

Current total productions of steel slag in India are around 12 million tonnes per annum. Due to limited modes of practices of utilization, huge amount of steel slag dumped in yards .as a result a large area of land is being sacrificed for the disposal of the useful resource. An efficient approach to overcome these problems is the slag utilization. This leads to reduction of landfills reserved for its disposal, saving the natural resources and attaining a pontentionl environment. They can be used as recycled raw material as road aggregate, cement, concretrete admixtures, etc. hardened concrete consist of more than 70% aggregate due to the high demand in building construction and the increase of the amount of disposed waste material, there is an alternative material(steel slag) which could preserve natural sources and save environment. |
