Abstract |

The main goal of this article is to give information about the different wheelchair designed till now. The aim of this paper is to review the state of the art in the technology for stair climbing wheelchair for people with disabilities. We give review on the research that has been done by difference groups on stair climbing wheelchair. The main goal is to provide the reader that which technology and mechanism can be used to develop the particular wheelchair. By this article reader gets idea about the environment friendly and by this they can easily compare each type of wheelchair. In this paper, we have mentioned various manually operated as well as automated wheelchairs that can travel on both plane terrains and also in the staircases. We also present data comparing their capabilities in terms of step climbing and standard wheelchair functions. |
