Abstract |

This paper deals with the design optimization, modeling and performance analysis of inner and outer rotor of gerotor pump. The different parameters of pump rotors are inner rotor and outer rotor diameters, tooth thickness and number of lobes. These parameters play very important role in deciding the pump performance in terms of area efficiency and flow rate. For this study, the design of pump inner and outer rotor is done by geometric and kinematic relation and the calculated values are implemented into CAD model. The modeling is done using AutoCAD software and the same model is tested by Test set up (layout). The analysis is done using CFD software. The theoretical and graphical results are validated with the analytical results. |
