The increase in precision requirement and fast production rate has also increased number of parts and complexity of the machines used in current industrial scenario. The increasing numbers of the components also lead to the increase in failures of the machines. Reliability of the machine is an important aspect for the Industry as it collectively affects the overall operating capabilities and performance of the industry. Along with reliability the life cycle cost of the machine is also an important aspects of the current industrial engineering, the life cycle cost analysis assist the user for taking decisions like repairs, replacements etc. In this study reliability and life cycle cost analysis is conducted using data collected from centering machine in order to achieve greater quality and production rate. This will further reflect an increase in salability of the machine. The result of this analytical study identifies the weakest parts of the machine which possess the low reliability. This study also shows the total reliability of the machine. |
