Abstract |

The primary purpose of this report is to present the design of a solar dryer cum solar cooker and also the investigations carried out in order to evaluate the influence of incorporating a desiccant on the drying efficiency of the solar dryer. The findings obtain in this project through experimentation reveal that the incorporation of a desiccant can help improve the drying efficiency. The use of silica gel as a desiccant was made. The study also describes the conditions that led to the selection of silica gel as a desiccant. |
