Abstract |

variable geometry turbochargers (VGT) are used in almost 85% of cars available in European market. There is always some restriction to the volumetric efficiency of any internal combustion engine. Thus the purpose behind the study of variable geometry turbocharger is to overcome this fundamental drawback. If VGT is used in the IC engine, it would help to boost the engine on expense of the power which is going to be lost in the exhaust. Thus by using VGT, according to the amount of exhaust available at different engine speeds, it will adjust the AR ratio and constantly boost the engine, which increases the expansion ratio, Output Torque, power output and to get the increased results on an Internal combustion Engine. |
