Abstract |
A Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based methodology is proposed and applied in a smart connected grid for increasing the penetration of renewable energy resources and minimizing the operation costs. Compared with the other existing techniques, the proposed algorithm has been found to perform better in several cases. For the implementation part MATLAB 2016a is used. It stands for ‘Matrix Laboratory’. MATLAB 2016a is a high-level language for technical computing. It integrates computation, visualization and programming in an easy-to-use environment where problem and solutions are expressed in familiar mathematical notations. The PSO method has been successfully implemented to solve different convex and non-convex ELD problems with the generator constraints. |
