Abstract |

The paper is deliberated to offer a literature review related to material handling activity using AGV. Among the disparate aspects influencing the design and operation performance of AGV in a manufacturing unit, the paper focuses on four major aspects i.e. flow path design, docking, sensors and controlling options of AGV. The study unveils fundamental research methodology/approach followed, different kind of subsystems used in AGV and type of problems faced. It is revealed that material handling of components using AGV type of industry is still an open area for research. |
