Data Science is an emerging area that collects, manages, analyse, extracts, interprets, visualize and preserve knowledge from huge amount of data. Data science is not only connected with databases but is a blend of various tools, algorithms, and machine learning principles with the goal to discover hidden patterns from the raw data. Data scientists play active roles in the design and implementation work related to big data. They bring structure to it, find compelling patterns in it, and advise executives on the implications for products, processes, and decisions. This paper will try to explore the different applications and future trends in the area called data science and role of data scientist in decision making. |
