Abstract

The Cloud Computing offers service over internet with dynamically scalable resources. Cloud Computing services provides benefits to the users in terms of cost and ease of use. Cloud Computing services need to address the security during the transmission of sensitive data and critical applications to shared and public encrypted cloud environments. The cloud environments are scaling large for data processing and storage needs. When it comes to cloud data protection methods, no particularly new technique is required. Protecting data in the cloud can be similar to protecting data within a traditional data center. Authentication and identity, access control, encryption, secure deletion, integrity checking, and data masking are all data protection methods that have applicability in cloud computing. This paper will briefly review few methods, data encryption’s challenges and its recommendations, and will note anything that is particularly unique to when these are deployed in a cloud. This paper discusses the security of data encryption in cloud computing. It is a study of data in the cloud and aspects related to it concerning data encryption security. The paper gives an idea of data protection methods and challenges while data encryption used throughout the world to ensure maximum data encryption efficiency, performance of data protection by reducing risks and threats in key management.
