Abstract |

For an effective engine cooling system it is necessary to have good radiator functioning. In order to improve effectiveness of car radiator, application of nano fluids as coolant is contemplated in this research. The CAD model of car radiator is developed using Creo 2.0 software and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis is conducted using ANSYS CFX software. The nano fluids used for analysis are Al2O3/water and CuO/water. The results obtained are compared with water by determining rate of heat transfer obtained for different fluids using temperature difference values from CFD results. |
