Abstract |

The engineering properties of subgrade soil is evaluated and an experiment is conducted on clayey soil blending with different percentage of Burnt Brick Dust of 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% by weight where the Burnt Brick Dust is used to stabilize the clayey soil. After achieving the optimum percentage of Burnt Brick Dust the sample mix is further mixed with Scrap Tyre Rubber of 8% and 10 % by weight. Tests conducted on sample mix are Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit, Free Swell Index, Optimum Moisture Content, Maximum Dry Density and California Bearing Ratio. It is found that properties of subgrade soil are improved. |
