Abstract

In this research paper our motive was to see what lies in the deep web, to know what we can find in the deep part of the web and to know whether it is legal or illegal to access it. Almost all us now uses internet for various purpose, to collect information, for shopping and many more. Generally we surf on the surface web means the web that we use is called surface web. All websites on the surface web are indexed in the search engines. There are actually two parts of the web. One is surface web and other is deep web which also contains the dark web which is by far the most anonymous part of the web. Certainly there are almost 130 trillion web pages on the internet seems huge but it only makes around 4% of the total content on the internet means remaining 96% lies in the deep web. Surface web is actually smaller than we usually think. The web sites on the deep web is not indexed by the normal search engines which makes it more anonymous. The deep web requires special software or Authorization to access. Software such as TOR, Freenet, I2P. TOR (the onion router) is most famous among them for accessing dark web. TOR avails you anonymous access to the internet. This browsers helps you to hide your IP address by bouncing the packet in the distributed network. This browsers provides more privacy while surfing through web.
