Abstract |
|
Bitumen is thermoplastic material and its stiffness is dependent on temperature. Generally, in highway flexible pavement is made by using of bitumen. Bitumen is created from petroleum. In this process hydrocarbons are released which in turn lead to pollution. So, melting process of bituminous is very harmful. The pavement construction needs more than 90% virgin aggregates that consume valuable resources. The use of recycle aggregate will save the resources and it’s every 3 to 5 years flexible pavement need 40mm to 50mm thick overly on exits. Road layer increase the thickness of pavement, by using recycle In-situ reduce height of pavement which in turn benefit to the residential and commercial for proper drainage. The use of RAP in Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) shall have a large economic and environmental impact in pavement construction. This study purpose is to use RAP in varying percentage of bituminous mix and check the same as per MoRTH specification. |
