Abstract

Voting is essential for modern democratic societies. The term e-Voting is defined as “Any voting method where the voter’s intention is expressed or collected by electronic means”. The proposed Voting machines belongs to a mechatronics system category which is a total combination of mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic equipment (including software, firmware, and documentation required to program control, and support equipment). This e-Voting system is based on a Biometric i.e. fingerprint recognition technique. In fingerprint recognition technique, fingerprint matching technique is used to validate the user. Fingerprint matching is the process used to determine whether two sets of fingerprint ridge detail come from the same finger. The aim of the system is to make the voting process more easy and efficient. The proposed system is implemented to allow each and every voter to actively participate in the election process.
