Genetic algorithms are used as a computer-based search method to find a correct or estimated solution to optimization and search problems. As modeling methods and problem solvers, genetic algorithms are on the rise in neural networks owing to their simplicity and ability to optimize in complex multimodal search spaces. This paper explains the basic genetic algorithm and recounts its history in the literature of artificial neural network. |
