Abstract

This paper describes the design and fabrication technique of an inset fed rectangular microstrip patch antenna operating at 2.4 GHz. For designing of patch antenna rogers RT 5880 substrate is used which is having dielectric constant (εr = 2.2) and the substrate thickness equal to 1.5 mm. In this paper my work is mostly focused on the designing of a multiband inset fed patch antenna. The software used to carry out my work is CST studio suite. The aim of this paper is to design a microstrip patch antenna using rogers RT 5880 substrate and analyze it using the measurement of return loss, VSWR and bandwidth of designed patch antenna.
