Today, social media are playing a capital role in various organizations, institutions and libraries. This paper deals with the concept of library and social media and also discussed in paper that how to social networking applications are governed the libraries and generating new relations with library users. This paper discusses how the social media is more beneficial of the users of Library. Social networking sites (facebook, twitter, flicker, linkedIn etc) are the newest technologies demonstrating libraries the opportunities to reach out the users of the library. Social media became an attractive platform to exchange information, knowledge and skills of the library professionals and users also. |
