In this paper we report the development and assessment of a modern interactive humanoid robot interacting with human beings and engaging in human society. A human body like this offers an array of information that is nonverbal and helps one to interact effectively with the robot. To this purpose, a humanoid robot was developed, which speaks and gestures autonomously with humans. Interaction is accomplished through a wide variety of interactive behaviours developed using a visualization tool to explain the complex system developed. Through interactive behaviour is developed by cognitive tests and introduced with local recognition. The robot is used to research incarnated communications as a testbed. Our approach is to study the human robots interaction with body movements using a motion capture system that helps us describe the motions. We conducted experiments to equate body movements with mentally dependent subjective evaluation. The outcomes show the value of well- coordinated behaviours as well as the performance of the interactive behaviours developed, and implement a new analytical approach to human- robot interaction. |
