Abstract

Due to the rapid growth of technology the usage & utilization of VMC machine in industries are increased. The fabrication of low cost VMC machine is used to reduce cost and complexity of machine. This paper contracts with the design of automatic mini VMC machine for PCB drawing and drilling. The Idea behind our project is to design and drill PCB based on low cost VMC system the lower cost is achieved by incorporating features of PC with ATMEGA 328 controller in an Arduino. We have use an G code for whole system operation G code is nothing but a language in which people provide instructions to computerized machine tools “To make something in desired format’. The instructions define where to move & how fast to move. we know that computer numerical control is a very broad term that encompasses a variety of types of machines— all with different sizes, shapes, and functions. But the easiest way to think about VMC is to simply understand that it’s all about using a computer as a means to control a machine that carves useful objects from solid blocks of material. Our Project mainly deals with implementation of a desktop-sized 3- Axis VMC machine One of the target of this project revolves around low-cost Printed Circuit Board manufacturing and essentially making it available for and end user who can create their own custom PCBs without prior complicated knowledge of VMC milling and investing on costly machines. Away from each other from PCB manufacturing, robust solutions for customized wood and plastic surface engravings can also be provided through this project.
