IoT (Internet of Things) as a technology, extends the possibility of using the internet over an integrated environment from hundreds to billions of devices as a thing. As of the diversity of the connected things in IoT and its requirement, this turn into a challenging task to framing a common IoT framework & its security concerns. The aim of this dissertation is to provides a secure and robust smart home setting in which the IoT devices are connected. In this work, the primary goal is to develop a gateway that provides support next to the edge for smart home, b/w outside users and home devices for example service providers. This model has the capabilities of providing privacy, authorization, authentication, & confidentiality. This model also can take care for the devices that are incompetent to secure themselves. The integrated architecture incorporates with providers for every security aspect, and can without much of a stretch be reached out so as to help more components. Additionally, this gateway is capable for service finding through observing the devices that contributing entreated services. This gateway impose security, based on guidelines that the user configures at the time of implementation. Another contribution is a policy narrative language that allows users to identify the needs for the communication channels and devices with another things and parties probably situated outdoor of the home. Test results show a constrained effect on performance, permitting tens of session setups for every second and a few hundred messages for every second to be traded inside a session. Therefore, the gateway felicitate security of the IoT in an effective way. The adaptability in supporting security providers & the probability to address services consistently suggest that the gateway will help engineers to safely make applications for the heterogeneous IoT devices. |
