Service sector companies are attempting to gain a competitive advantage through service innovation due to the rise of service economy. However, the existing research has not drawn consistent conclusions about the understanding of service innovation and firm performance. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of service innovation on organizational performance with reference to licensed commercial banks in Sri Lanka. Using survey method, primary data were collected from 285 managerial level and executive level employees from 12 different licensed commercial banks in Sri Lanka. Descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis was performed to find the answer for the research questions. The major finding of this study reveals that service innovation significantly influence the organizational performance. This finding contributes the comprehensive understanding of the link between service innovation and firm performance along with providing future research directions. |
