Wind power is the most important source of renewable energy. Operation and maintenance system (OMS) costs account for 25-35% of the wind energy generation cost. A common goal of operation & maintenance (OMS) system is decrease downtime, improve availability, reduce the loss of generation and cost of much possible. It is even more important to off-share wind farm where accessibility is weak & maintenance is heavy workload? Very costly, particularly it is significant to study the wind farm, which is multiple wind turbines & each wind turbine Generator (WTG) has multiple components. In this thesis, we focus on maintenance strategies that is currently used in wind power plant, include corrective and time based preventive maintenance.in this thesis, we focus on the wind farms which includes multiple wind turbines generator (WTG) & each WTG is considered of multiple Component system. These proposed method are demonstrated and compared using example. According the comparison result of maintenance strategy is the cost effective because loss of generation in KWh is minimize usually. Which sure that about 40-45 % reduced loss of generation in KWh compare with previous year maintenance strategy. The developed method, in this thesis can be applied to improve the generation and the loss of generation in KWh in currently preventive maintenance in wind farm and bring to benefit to wind industry in term of improve PM strategy , reduced component failure and minimize the loss of generation in KWh. |
