Abstract

The project focuses on the Maisotsenko cycle and how it overcomes the constraints that are set by the conventional vapour absorption refrigeration cycle and direct evaporative coolers. Though the Direct Evaporative coolers give an adequate amount of temperature drop it causes an increase in humidity and affects the human comfort negatively. While the cooling achieved by the indirect evaporative cooling method is not sufficient even though it eliminates the possibility of increased humidity. Both the above-mentioned cooling systems can be amalgamated in the Maisotsenko cycle to form a completely new system that would eliminate the vices of both systems. Tendency of conventional refrigerants to create pollution is omitted as the said system uses water as a cooling agent.
