Scope of E-Wastes Utilization and Understanding Its Environmental Impact: A Review

E-waste is a growing threat for not just our nation but for the entire humanity. E-waste for a very long period of time was not considered to possess a grave threat to our environment, but with research taking place, researchers found out the threat level of these e-wastes. With the boom in the electronics and information technology scenario in the world, the amount of e-waste generating grew multi folds. Every country is now trying to come up with a system such that effective disposal of the ever increasing e-waste can be taken care of. This paper aims to summarize various possible utilization opportunities of e-waste spent rather than dumping it to the landfill. The review carried, suggested a successful, eco-friendly and relatively cheaper use of e-waste as an alternatives to many fields. The fields of utilization for e-waste mainly focused were construction, recycling and micro-organisms based recycling. It also went though the detrimental outcomes of the uncontrolled and poor e-waste disposal techniques. Some investigators revealed the stance of people towards e-waste disposal which suggested that generally people preferred to give away the e-waste to the informal sector since they considered the waste to carry some economic value.
